Volunteer: Grand Entrance Team-Ramp and line and Barricade monitors

Gra(n)d Entrance team volunteers will receive their assigned location from their lead before beginning their shift.

They guide graduates through the staging area, help them line up for the Gra(n)d Entrance, and keep lines orderly as they move through the tunnel and onto the field.

Once graduates enter the stadium, volunteers move to the sidelines to monitor student behavior. If needed, they may confiscate alcohol or call an alcohol monitor for support.

Before the end of the ceremony, volunteers should head to the east tunnel to help guide students out and assist with roping off the east ramp.

Assist visitors in finding the appropriate seating:

ADA seating is located on the concourse Limited-mobility guests should be seated in the front rows and Section 131 General seating is located higher up

Help keep walkways clear.

Once the celebration begins, concourse workers should continue to roam the concourse to be available to guide guests, direct them to restrooms, concessions, and exits, and point them to shuttles located outside the South Gate.

Concourse volunteers will also hand out programs to those who did not receive one at the gate.

Driver Certification
You must have a current UO driver certification on file to operate a golf cart. Complete or verify your certification at: https://safety.uoregon.edu/driver-certification

Training
If you have not driven a golf cart on campus before, email melf@uoregon.edu as soon as possible to schedule a brief hands-on training.
